Discovering Eutin
Today, the delegations of the EYP session in Eutin had a special experience: a unique city tour! In small groups, the students of the Hospitality team guided the participants through the city, sharing insights into its history, culture, and hidden gems.
From the historic old town and the stunning castle to local favorites, the delegations got a true taste of Eutin. But it wasn’t just about learning facts, it was also about exchanging stories, having fun, and seeing the city through the eyes of its residents and students.
Laughter, curiosity, and shared experiences made this tour a highlight of the session. A huge thank you to all the students who showed us the city with enthusiasm and passion!

Interviews with EYP participants
“It was really fun, I met many new friends.“ - Riccardo
Riccardo from Verona has spent the past month at Weber-School, an experience that not only prepared him for the ongoing European Youth Parliament session but also allowed him to form many new friendships. This is his second time participating in the EYP, but now he takes on a new role as Chair of the AFET team.
While excited about the session, Riccardo is also deeply concerned about the current state of the EU. Political tensions, economic uncertainty, and social challenges make it clear that Europe requires significant decisions. For him, the EYP is a chance to engage in meaningful discussions and inspire others to take an active role in shaping our future.
At the end of the interview, Riccardo shared his definition of the EU. So make sure to watch it until the End.
Thank you Riccardo for the Interview!

"I’m impressed by the respect of timing which, as we know, is so difficult in such events. It shows that everyone plays the game, both the organisers and the participants. Bravo!"
A. Lardeux, accompanying teacher of the French delegation
"It's an honor to be part of the EYP" - Kai Matthiensen
We interviewed two members of the Hospitality Team, Emsal from the 12c and Kai Matthiensen, one of our teachers. We talked about their experience as being responsible for the catering and organisation and struggles that came up. It was great to hear from them, giving us a great perspective into the side of the EYP you don't always hear of. Thank you, Hospitality Team!

Chair meeting
The chair-team consists of 12 persons, nine of them are current students of Weber-School. Although their final exams are close, they sacrificed their weekend to support the EYP as a chairperson. Tom, who graduated in 2021 has already returned to EYP at Weber-School for the second time. Finally, there are our special guests from Italy who participated as delegates last year. Today, they met with the presidents to get updates and prepare for the General Assembly.

Message from a member of the European Parliament to the delagates: Rasmus Andresen
Rasmus Andresen, a member of the European Parliament since 2019 for the Greens, sent us a message, because he can‘t be part of this year’s EYP in person.
„I am really happy to see that so many young people are taking part in European democracy this weekend in Eutin. [..] I think we are facing some huge challenges and the EU needs to step up their efforts to ensure that European democracy, the European Union will be less dependent on other regions of the world like the US or Asia so that we can build up our own strength both when it comes to security and defence which is much more than like just military infrastructure and weapons. […] It means we need to invest more in our common infrastructure but also in social cohesion on our country. […] We are threatened, our democracy is threatened from countries we thought were friends for a long time but it's also threatened from the inside from nationalists and right-wing extremists who want to kill our democracy and who want to go backwards with our society so this is what I think will be the big challenges also in the coming years in the EU. […] I am really happy to know that you are doing a lot and you are trying to get involved and I also would like to ask you to continue with that, also when you're coming back home, when you're traveling back home with new friends, maybe new thoughts in mind, get involved in politics, reach out to us. […] Thank you so much and all the best to all of you! “
